We grew up together in Skellefteå, born in 99. Three friends who played hockey in the winter, swam in the Skellefte River in the summer, and eventually all ended up in Stockholm.
When we needed to find a place to live, the hunt began. We tried everything. Site after site turned out to be scams. Subscription services that charged money just to redirect you to the next site. Established players that wanted us to sign contracts where we waived our right to sue them. Once the moving boxes were packed. That same day, the landlord called and said it wasn't happening.
And everywhere the same feeling. Like shouting into the void. You send out applications and hope someone will notice you. No feedback. No chance to show who you are.
It didn't matter that you had paid rent on time for five years. That you have a job. That you have references. You start from zero. Every time.
Eventually all three of us were living in Stockholm. And we couldn't stop talking about it. How can it be like this? Why is there nothing that rewards you for being responsible?
That's what we wanted to change.
It should pay off to be a good tenant. Simple as that.
